We’re starting a new feature here at Therapy South called WOW Wednesdays, where we give a client a shoutout for meeting individual goals! Huge GOLD star to this little one! Meet Goldie, she just got her G Tube removed on 11/11/19. Occupational therapy worked with Goldie and her family to meet this amazing achievement by working on postural control and alignment. A stable pelvis and trunk allows for improved head position during mealtime, which allows for easier swallowing!

Did you know wearing ankle weights can help reduce toe walking? If your little one walks on their tip toes try putting a pair of half a pound ankle weights to give them some proprioceptive input which allows them to bring their heels down. These little weights are personalized to make it fun for the little ones to wear!
