The other night, Precision held a meeting over Zoom Video Communications to go over our Quarter 1 Company update report. We want to take this time to thank our Precisioneers for their hard work and dedication during this unique and complicated time. The current situation has been challenging but we are so fortunate to have a team that is able to work through adversity and keep our projects on schedule. Normally, we would have been able to have this meeting in person, but it was still nice to see everyone's faces! #workfromhome

#MonthlyProjectFeature This month we would like to put a spotlight on The Land Conservancy's Pismo Preserve, for which Precision served as Construction Manager and Owner's Rep. The Pismo Preserve conservation area and public trail system encompasses 880 acres of culturally sensitive land adjacent to Route 101 in Pismo Beach and unincorporated SLO County. The project included improvements to Mattie Road and construction of visitor center facilities, parking areas, restrooms, l...arge retaining wall systems, site utilities, bridges, paved ADA trails and archaeological displays. The project was complicated by the site’s cultural importance to Native American groups and required the constant presence of archaeological consultants to monitor the progress throughout construction. During the contractor selection process, Precision was able to identify value engineering opportunities which resulted in a 5% reduction to the construction budget. Additionally, Precision identified key errors and omissions in contractor bids that significantly enhanced the quality and accuracy of the bids and helped the client to proactively avoid large change orders and schedule impacts.
