PR CITY - I haven’t posted up about my deadlifts/heavy lifts in a while, but ya girl pulled 265 pounds off the floor! Thank you @wolffslawfitness for getting my deadlifts up from 185 lbs of questionable form to a solid 80 lb jump. - Nothing makes me happier than feeling stronger. Especially with the dangers of being abducted by bad men (lol) I can safely say that I’m confident enough to kick them in the knee caps with all my leg power ... - I preach this every time: ladiesplease prioritize getting stronger. We’re not getting any younger. The more you stay sedentary/inactive the MORE dangerous it is for you when you get older. Don’t make the excuse of I’m too old, this is what happens. NO. NO. JUST NO. I have clients who are in their 50’s, who have decided LATER in life that it was time to make a change. Through consistent effort and having a coachable mindset, they’re now stronger and fitter than they were in their 20’s. - Now, I don’t have kids, I don’t have a mortgage to worry about. Simple Deadlift Tips - If you’re a beginner to deadlifts, I highly suggest you to start with a kettlebell or a landmine (like in the video). - Start position:... . chest over bar . arms long (keep lats tight) . back straight (take a deep breath into your belly) . butt pushed back (imagine a wall behind you that you’re trying to twerk on lollll) . I’ll make another video on core bracing but take a deep breath into your belly (imagine filling a balloon in your stomach) and hold that breath for the entire rep. . . During the deadlift: Spread the floor with your feet . Firmly press your big toes, pinky toes, and heels into the ground . squeeze da booty as hard as you can at the top.
