#UPDATE Man Shot and Killed in Parlier is Identified Information from the Fresno County Sheriff's Office is included below ... Members of the Fresno County Sheriff’s Office Crime Scene Unit have identified 30 year old Regino Serrano of Parlier as the man shot and killed on Saturday, September 19th. Around 9:30 pm on Saturday, officers with the Parlier Police Department responded to a report of shots fired on the 600 block of King Street in Parlier. Officers arrived and found a man, later identified as Regino Serrano, suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. He died there outside of his home. Parlier Police requested the Sheriff’s Office take over the investigation. Homicide detectives and our Crime Scene Unit responded to the scene to interview neighbors and collect evidence. Detectives have determined this was not a random shooting, but they are still working to identify a true motive. No arrests have been made. Detectives are asking community members to contact our office if they have any information to help with the investigation. #COVID19 #Crisis "We are not giving up on my father." Paloma Becker said in an interview today that medical professionals have told her family that the prognosis for 61-year-old David Leon is not good.... Diagnosed with COVID-19 back in July, David has been on a ventilator for about a month. Becker said they are looking at obtaining special medications as well as a lung transplant to help his recovery, but there have been set backs. The announcement today from California Gov. Gavin Newsom's office: Effective immediately, California closes some indoor business operations statewide and additional indoor operations in counties on Monitoring list for 3 consecutive days (This list includes Fresno and Tulare counties). State indoor closures include restaurants, bars and breweries, wineries & tasting rooms, movie theaters, family entertainment centers, zoos and museums, and cardrooms. County indoor closures (including Fresno and Tulare counties) once again will include fitness centers, places of worship, indoor protests, offices for non-critical infrastructure sectors, personal care services, hair salons and barbershops, and malls. County closures apply to counties that have been on the County Monitoring List for 3 consecutive days.
