Self-Directed Education

One of our student-hosted events last week was a Zoom tea party. We dressed up, had tea and snacks, and held our pinkies out.

In our distance program, each week students host events and then sign up for them. Wondering what this looks like? Some of the events the kids have come up with: Lego Building, virtual Tea Party, Dungeons & Dragons, Minecraft creative on a dedicated server, makeup party, bedroom decorating/organizing, Roblox, and more.

Part of our online program is getting everyone together for announcements and reading the agenda at the beginning of School Meeting each week. If they want to, they can stay after to discuss and vote on the motions.
