This has been kind of an emotional deal. This old ‘46 Studebaker was my grandfathers and last time it was registered was 1964. He had welded a Hopto backhoe ...to the back and had a Chevy 6 cyl engine mounted behind the cab. Two weeks ago I drove back to Aitkin,Minnesota to pick it up out of the woods where it has sat for 55 years. Now it is gonna set in my yard as a tribute to my grandfather Newt Hall. Need to do some landscaping and I’m gonna build a waterfall from out the front of the hood. I’d like to thank a few friends for helping out. First off Marv Turner, his dad Marvin Turner for keeping the truck for all these years and letting me know it was still around and helping dig it out and loading it. When our Honorary Minnesota Chapter member Randy Lee Warriner drives up from Cali to visit, you have to show him some Home State Love! Had a cookout get togethe...r at my place and the BSR members had to tattoo the street when it was over! We made some progress on the Taunus today. Sheet metal cut out and body sitting on the jig. Tires , seat and engine mocked up already. Lol The Nitro Garage

We started on Kork Tac’s 1964 Ford Taunus 12M P4 coupe. It’s one of 50 imported from Germany. We are building a Chris Alston Chassis Works 1 5/8 round tube c...hassis. 4 link rear, strut front end, twin turbo LS 6.2, 400 turbo. It’s gonna be a small tire deal. This is my son’s first big of his own. I had a great teacher that taught me to build race cars. Thank You Gregg Petersen of Petersen Engineering. Now I can teach my son.
