Today we start takeout only until Wednesday. We will be closed on Christmas Eve and Christmas Day and open back up on Saturday for breakfast again.

With heavy hearts we are saddened to learn the loss of one of our great customers to cancer. Dave has been a customer since we opened. He called me A and was a true Italian. I think he threatened me a few times and said no one would find my body but at the end of the day I looked up to him. He was a giver and was instrumental in bringing the rod run to Murrieta. You will be missed my friend.

We are closing in house dining at 4 today and Togo’s at 4:30 for Halloween.

You want to know why some of us restaurant owners are so angry. Here are some of the stats. 100k businesses out of business in just the last 6 months. 60 percent of restaurants will close permanently. Do you know the average profit margin is around 10 percent. Do you know the industry who has seen more layoffs then any another industry is the restaurant industry. People think all we do is drink, go on vacations, golf and socialize for a living. What people don’t realize is th...e time and dedication it takes to run a restaurant. It was almost 6yrs ago that I took more than 3 days off in a row. That was after working at The Mill for 17 yrs. Most owners work 10 plus hours a day. We take our stress and work home with us everyday and that stress has never been greater. I know that my employees are like my family. It stresses me out when they are hurting for money and hours. If we are angry at the governor or our local elected officials it’s because we feel like we have been left to fail. There is no real plan on opening more than 25% or for indoor dining. None that actually make sense. The rules change for us all the time and it’s fucking wrong!!! To my fellow restaurant owners and winery owners we are in this together. If I can help in any way please reach out. To our local supervisors, governor and city officials and chambers. Let’s hear from you. Let’s hear what you are doing for our industry that is really making a difference for us. What are you really doing to allow us to stay in business!!!! You shouldn’t be getting away with sitting there in silence. I am not diminishing the fact that people have died from this.
