Read details at http://www.tka.org/page.cfm?p=10440 Now that Santa Clara County has officially permitted all schools to reopen, TKA plans to begin a hybrid learning format on Monday, October 26. TKA's hybrid model will combine on-campus rotation with live-feed for remote learning, using Webex PresenterTrack. Students will be placed in two cohorts and rotate one week on campus for in-person learning and one week at home with remote learning. TKA will continue to offer a comple...tely online format for parents who wish for their students to remain at home. Under every circumstance, our goal is to fulfill the mission of The King's Academy: to inspire academic excellence, servant leadership, and enduring relationships. However, providing a safe and healthy learning environment for the TKA community is our highest priority. We look forward to welcoming students to campus safely very soon! #manyschoolseducatefewchangelives #enduringrelationships #tkabeaknight

On Wednesday, September 2, TKA officially celebrated the opening of our new wings and dedicated the blessing of this provision to the Lord. The buildings have been fully renovated, and teachers are now moved into the classrooms and teaching remotely using Webex PresenterTrack. Those present for the ceremony included a few members of TKA's staff and School Board plus special guests Polly Bove, Superintendent of Fremont Union High School District, and Heather Yandle, TKA alumni parent and the chief architect on the project. We are excited about having the fences down, thus uniting the 6 wings, A through F, and can't wait for our students to experience the open connected, feeling of our campus!

Mrs. Duncan, TKA Admissions Director, encourages us to look forward in the midst of so much uncertainty. Here is an extract from her timely sharing at last Friday's staff devotion. Looking Forward in Faith ...... The longer Shelter-in-place drags on, the more I am realizing how important it is to look forward. And not simply look forward, but to look forward in faith and in the knowledge that God is walking us THROUGH this valley.... 2 Corinthians 5:7 tells us that we are to walk by faith and not by sight. That is certainly what we’ve had to do over these last several months. But we aren’t alone in how we handle this walk. We have plenty of examples to follow. Noah was called to look forward, even though the call seemed ridiculous at the time. What is God calling you to build right now? Abram and Sarai were called to look forward, even though the promises of God seemed impossible at the time. Where is God calling you to walk right now? The disciples were called to look forward, even though they were also required to leave everything they knew behind. What is God calling you to give up right now? Ananias was called to look forward, even though he was called to reach out to a man that was considered dangerous. Who is God calling you to reach out to right now? And, of course, on the flip side we have a dramatic example in Lot’s wife, of what happens when God calls us to look forward and NOT look back, and yet we follow our own desires. When I think about her, I wonder why she was looking back, especially when the circumstances she was leaving behind were total chaos. Do you feel like you are looking back right now, trying to hold on to what was? It is simple to understand why we look back to what seemed good. Maybe in the case of Lot’s wife, it was simply that she was comfortable there, and forward was unknown. And that, can be scary! So, here’s my plea, let’s look forward together in faith. Let’s not look back at what was. Let’s move forward and make every day a tribute to our God who walks us faithfully through the valleys and to whom we bow with thanks on the mountain tops! Fear not, for I have redeemed you; I have summoned you by name; you are mine. When you pass through the waters, I will be with you; and when you pass through the fire, you will not be burned; the flames will not set you ablaze. For I am the Lord, your God, the Holy One of Israel, your Savior. Isaiah 43:1-3 Let’s look forward together!

Good news! Most public libraries in the Bay Area are open for book pick-ups. Bad news! Some of the most popular items have lots of people waiting for them. Best news! The TKA library just got in some of this summer's most popular titles just for you! Simply place a hold on a book and Mrs. Jensen will email you when she puts it in the Main Office for you to pick up. For questions email Mrs. Jensen at [email protected]
