10,000 more vaccination appointments will become available beginning at noon tomorrow (Saturday). Those 65 and older can secure the appointments. The closest location for these 10,000 is Heritage High School in Menifee. The appointment website crashed Thursday, but the county is trying out a new site for this new round of appointments tomorrow. The clinics will be held Monday through Friday next week from 8:30 a.m. until 4:30 p.m. The vaccines are free, but require the appointment and, upon arrival, must show proof of age and residency (driver's license). Appointments are offered exclusively at this website. https://www.rivcoph.org/COVID-19-Vaccine

At noon today (Thursday) appointments can be made for a small number of vaccines that have come available for three vaccination centers in the county, two of which are close by in Lake Elsinore and Perris. Those 65 and over will need to set an appointment before showing up for the vaccination by visiting the Riverside University Health System-Public Health vaccine website www.ruhealth.org/covid-19-vaccine. The clinics at the Storm Stadium in Lake Elsinore and at the County Fair Grounds by Lake Perris will provide vaccines free of charge, however, those who show up must have already obtained an appointment those 65 and older must have proof of age, such as a driver's license. It is anticipated that the appointment will fill up in minutes after the site opens at noon.

The Breakfast With Santa event scheduled for tomorrow (Saturday) has been canceled, as reported in today's Friday Flyer. However, it looks like Santa will still put on his skis and ski around the Main Lake since doing so will not be contrary to COVID-19 stay-at-home orders. Be on the lookout for the tricks and maneuvers of this unique event tomorrow morning around 9:30 a.m. as Santa leaves the North Causeway and heads to the Main Lake. The gathering part of the Breakfast With Santa and the handing out of churros with photos has been canceled. https://fridayflyer.com/.../breakfast-with-santa.../

EASY $10,000 Small Business Grant application has been extended. Read between the lines...the only reason this deadline is being extended is because the county didn't run out of money. Take 10 minutes, fill out this application and receive not a loan, but a $10,000 grant. There are some restrictions, but even those who received a PPP (less than $75,000) are eligible. https://mainstreetlaunch.org/riverside-phase-3/
