July 23 2017 I’ve always loved small vintage leather coin purses but they are very rare and difficult to find so I decided to figure out how to make one myself and now I will share my process with you! This little purse is adorable and so small (under 3 inches wide) you can wear it as a necklace. In addition to constructing the leather coin purse I will also show you a cool knotted and beaded cord technique to attach to the purse with a leather strap along with a bohemian dangle tassel to hang on your mini purse. Supplies for students to bring: ~Jewelry pliers: round nose, chain nose and wire cutters ~Scissors for cutting fabric ~bead matt or cloth to lay your beads and findings ~clip board (used to make the knotted bead cord, otherwise, if you have a KDIA board bring that) ~any extra charms you would like to personalize it KIT CONTENTS: Pre cut and sewn leather purse and straps, frame, prepped nylon cord, 25-30 Czech Picasso 6mm beads (dusty turquoise or neutral color options), quality brass focal charms and vintage style chatelaine fob made in the USA, vintage charms, buttons and lace (will vary), ribbon closures, 2 tulip filigree cord covers, crochet flower, antique doll arm, crystal, chain, jump rings, eyelet, wire, lobster clasp, rivet brads, charm holder. Waterfall Mixed Metal Etched Pendant Tuesday, April 11 5:30-9:30p $79... Create this beautiful mixed metal pendant while learning how to etch, texture, and rivet! First you will select from a variety of designs to acid etch onto your center copper piece. Then decide on a texture for your brass base piece and hammer away! Your pieces will be assembled with rivets. Finish it off by learning how to form, texture and attach a rolled bail at the top of your pendant. Chains and beads will be hung from the bottom to create the waterfall. Kits including chain, jumprings, wire, and beads will be available for purchase the day of class. Sgraffito Torch Enameled Earrings Sunday March 12th 12-4p $89.00... In this class you will create a beautiful pair of copper enameled earrings. The earrings will not need to be put in a kiln, you will be torching them! A base layer will be added and fired. You will then draw into an additional sifted enamel layer to get your design and fire again. Several enamel colors to select from.
