Shannon is a patient with myalgic encephalomyelitis (commonly called ME/CFS). ME/CFS patients often report that their illness began with a bug or infection of s...ome kind. But then their life gets disrupted. Severe, flu-like symptoms become constant, with muscle aches and trouble thinking clearly. Standing for any length of time is difficult, and exertion that they could previously handle without breaking a sweat, such as climbing a flight of stairs, becomes overwhelming and hard to recover from. Weeks turn to months, and still, the symptoms persist. . But why? No one knows. And that’s a huge problem. . FIBROMYALGIA STUDY Dr. Scott Cheatham is currently conducting a study validating a new scale to measure tenderness in patients with Fibromyalgia and Myofascial Pain. Dr. Cheatham is currently recruiting subjects for the study. Testing only takes about 45 minutes and all participants receive a $20 gift card.
