Helping clients understand our design intent by using powerful CAD tools helps them to visually see how the spaces will look but also how the interiors will function. And changes and updates are simple to make before any work actually begins.

These homes show just how great "aging in place" can be with universal design principles and keeping homeowners safe and secure. Check it out.

Providing clients a photo-rendering of their space helps them to visualize the projected outcomes which then helps in making those critical decisions.

What these men wrote may not be perfect but you have to give them credit for creating a most enduring document and one that still guides this country. Happy Fourth.

Here is a clever way to document what color went where the next time you paint. Write the paint colors on the back of a switch plate cover..., just remember which one it is !

This is probably the smallest space we've ever designed but it sure works well... a wine retreat for a long-time client in Palm Springs... just like a closet,.. not quite 5' by 5' but with storage for nearly 200 bottles, places for glasses and really interesting materials including cabinetry from Spain, hand crafted wine pegs from Canada + a dimensional wallcovering from the UK You like?

This Palm Desert residence gets the last of the final touches with these finely tailored cornices that cover the motorized semi-sheer solar screens, ... remotely controlled and provide a high degree of sun control without giving up the view. Its like sun glasses for your windows.

If there is a design trend we've been following ( Note: we rarely do anything trendy ),... it is a trend of moving away from cool greys to a warmer base tone. The warmly subtle "greige" colors work well whether in a city or in the desert. . . just make sure you include beefy textures to keep the space from falling flat. And if an all neutral interior is too boring... add some spark with very bold colors in art, accessories + perhaps a rug. One of our favorite "sparks" is Cherokee Red... a brown/orange based red, a favorite of Frank LLoyd Wright. There were many Cherokee reds. The color Wright immortalized by name, evolved over time from a deep, earthy-brown red, to a dusty orange-tinged, clay red. It is judicious to say that Cherokee Red is less a specific hue than it is a quality and depth of color.

This Citrus CC kitchen make-over makes quite a statement. But with all things slowing down, we have not been back to see the deep copper wall covering installed just the day after we were told to work from home.... but so far... so good. Clients happy. We are, too.
