Desmond Richardson, at Complexions Contemporary Ballet Legendary ballet dancer Desmond Richardson is known for being the first African-American principal dancer in the American Ballet Theatre. Richardson’s impressive skill and artistic prowess have earned him personal Tony nominations, as well as roles in Tony award-winning Broadway productions. Having been featured in countless publications and invited to dance with some of the most prestigious companies around the world, Ri...chardson is recognized as one of the best dancers of his time. He remains involved with Complexions Contemporary Ballet, which he co-founded in 1994 with choreographer Dwight Rhoden as a space to reinvent dance through a groundbreaking mix of methods, styles, and cultures. Only 2 classes left until TDS’ Recital! Tickets will be released Nov 5. Recital will look and feel different, but the dedication of the students, teachers & our families to make this happen is at an all time high! We are busy putting together our Recital! It’s almost here! I believe we have designed this to be a fun event for your children and yet, remain in compliance with CDC and Fresno County restrictions. The following is our plan: Recital Fee and Ticket Distribution The Recital Fee is $30 per family and has already been charged to your accounts. We will process the Recital Fee via autopay on November 5, 2020. We will have your tickets available for pick up on Thursday afterno...on, November 5th at the ticket table by our front gate. Please do not park your car in the drop-off / pick-up area to get tickets - we need that area to remain clear for students arriving and leaving. Your account must be paid in full for the current session in order to pick up tickets. Each family will receive two tickets for each of your dancer’s numbers. Mini Shows & Maximum Enjoyment All recitals will occur Monday through Saturday during the week of November 16, 2020. We plan to use these beautiful professional stages in our parking lot for both the performers and the guests. Most groups will perform at the same day/time as their weekly class; however, there are a few exceptions. We are attaching herewith the current Recital schedule, which is set up by class time, teacher and song title. 2019 Elite Teams Elite Teams will perform Friday, November 20 and Saturday November 21. Please see the attached schedule. Guest Arrival and Departure For The Show The incoming audience will line up on the north sidewalk outside the gate. Sidewalks and curbside in front of the studio will be for drop-off only with no pick-up permitted there - as you leave with your dancers, your cars will already be parked on the street. All parents/guests must wear a mask and have your temperature taken in order to enter the facility. No exceptions! We are required to physically distance students, parents and staff, which will constantly restrict the number of people on the property and/or in the building. Therefore, we can accommodate only two guests per each student in each class. We can not permit extra siblings. Please check your email for further info #tdstecital #itshappening
