Here's the recipe for my Dame Fall Glowing Skin Body Scrub w/real pumpkin powder + coconut sugar Be sure to tune in for a conversation + demo tomorrow morning at 9am PST/ 12pm EST at @industry_collective It's always the #ingredients for me ... #Pumpkins contain fruit enzymes + AHAs (alpha hydroxy acids) that work to buff dead skin + boost cell turnover for a smoother + brighter complexion. They also have vitamin A beta-carotene + vitamin C + antioxidants that can help rid skin of dark spots + wrinkles + sun damage. On top of all that, pumpkins also contain loads of zinc, which helps target acne and scarring. Along with skin hydrating honey + coconut sugar to lock in moisture and shea butter and avocado oil, this skin nourishing body scrub will reveal your skin's radiant glowing this fall. Ingredients 4 oz sea salt or pink salt 1 oz coconut sugar or raw sugar 1 oz honey powder cup organic brown sugar 2 Tbsp cooked pumpkin powder or pumpkin puree 2 Tbsp carrier oil (avocado, EVOO, or sweet almond work great) 1 Tbsp shea butter 1/2 tsp pumpkin spice 8 oz container (I prefer to use glass, but you could use plastic) 20 drops of sweet orange and/or vanilla oil to preference Instructions Slowly add in 1/2 of exfoliants to the container. Close jar and shake or stir until combined. Add oil and shea butter. Add remaining exfoliants and essential oils and mix well. Store in cool place until ready to use. Keep out of water. . . When you're in the shower, apply using light circular motions. This time of year is the hardest for me. I apologise for my absence. Going back a few weeks now feels like I'm just now coming out of a spell I call the 'twilight zone' I struggle with my mental health, my outlook on my position on this journey, still searching for answers + the meaning of it all. It's been 3 years since Dame Nisha left us on 10/06/17 and it's an extremely hard time for me. The throw back video I shared yesterday, was launched the day she passed. Nisha was ...my first cousin + business partner behind House of Dames. She was the fiery + fierce Dame behind our hair care department. A vision of us creating something for ourselves + our family + you. There I was, head in the clouds, double fisting IG + FB tracking the campaign's progress, like yeah son we gone change the game with this one... Then I saw an ominous post on my cousin Cassie's page... If you didn't know, I'm an empath. And death, while is naturally apart of life, hurts me to my absolute core. My heart aches for her everyday and even more so this time of year. I instantly am questioning weather I'm so focused on my "plans + goals" that I miss the bigger picture, and how quickly life can end. A million prayers, lectures, Ted Talks, mediations, and self help books later, I still don't have answers Sway that soothe my heart & right brain + logical rationale for my left brain.
