JENNAH LEIGH ANDERSON October 12, 1984 - September 29, 2020 Beloved daughter, sister, aunt, wife mother, and friend Dear Community, On September 29th, we experienced the enormous loss of dear friend and student, Jennah Leigh Anderson, to a 3 year battle with breast cancer. If you attended class over the last 6 years, there is a good chance you shared stories and got to know her and her amazing children. Jennah was a bright light, a connector, always the first to str...ike up a conversation and empathize with those around her, handing out sage advice with a sense of humor that could most certainly change the trajectory of your day. She was truly at the heart of our community and was a constant source of friendship and inspiration to us all. To celebrate her life, we felt it was only appropriate to hold a class in her honor. This is one for all - if you knew her or you didn't, if you've known someone affected by cancer, or not - and for the many of you who have reached out to ask how you can personally support. We will come together and hold space for her and for anyone who has been affected by cancer. All donations will go directly to support her family's organization of choice - Cycle For Survival - which serves to fight back against rare cancers. So please, join Michelle, Tenaya, and Jennah's close friend, Melanie Papalia, for a virtual barre class on Saturday, December 5th at 9:30am PST. We will unite in community and movement to honor her bravery and to fundraise for future warriors. A message from Tenaya and Michelle. After 8 wonderful years of owning our light-filled studio, we have decided to put it up for sale. For the better part of the last decade we’ve poured our hearts and souls into this business. It has not just been a professional path for us, but a personal one as well. The deep connections we've made, our students, our team, our friends, and the community we’ve cultivated have made this the most difficult decision - yet, we’ve known in ou...r hearts that this time would come. Now with five little ones between us under the age of six, we’re in a different place than we were when we started this journey in 2012 and speaking honestly, TDM Venice was our first baby which makes this even more bittersweet to write. With brick and mortars starting to re-open and our lease being up for negotiation, we’ve become clear that we need a fresh leader to take us into the next chapter. So we need your help. If you or anyone you know in our community would be interested in ownership, please send us a note. We want to make sure the next person brings the passion, dedication, and energy that this community deserves upon it's return. Please know that we will do everything we can to make this a seamless transition, maintaining our virtual classes and helping the new owner navigate the studio's next chapter in a post-COVID world.
