Hi Everyone!! Just want to let you know that Christmas has arrived at our booth at the La Mesa Antique mall. We found lots of cute things to add to your holiday decor. A special thank you to Beth Rock for the adorable handmade wool ornaments and to Debbie Busby from Wooden Spool Designs for all the yummy red, green and gold wool to make your own ornaments! Merry Christmas everyone and enjoy!!

We brought a few great farm items down to the mall today including the most adorable, ride on, child's toy tractor that I have ever seen . . .

Hey Friends, I was just talking to Kathy and we thought it might be fun to see some of you just to catch up . . . so, if you are planning to stop by our booth, Kathy and I will be there tomorrow around 10:00 am for about an hour. I know this is short notice, but wow . . . who knew we would be so busy in retirement!!!

Hi Everyone, we finally made it home with all of our great finds! You can now see them in our booth at The La Mesa Antique Mall. In addition to all the antiques, we now have hand-dyed wool as well as great plaids and textures in the non-felted wool . . . all from the same wonderful companies that we always carried in our store! It was sure fun picking for you

On our last day of "picking" we are headed west over the Missouri river towards the plains of Kansas. We had one planned stop and a few unexpected finds along the way . . . never bought a tractor before!!! When we get home we will let you all know what day to expect all these goodies at the mall. Thanks for following along with us on our travels. Hugs to all, Joe & Sharon

On our search today we passed this scene along the highway. I love the white barns and the lavender fields. I'm not sure what is growing, it could even be weeds, but it is sure a pretty picture!! And after poking around all day, we managed to collect a few of our favorite things!!

It was a long day of driving . . . pretty barns along the way and a pile of goodies at the end of the road make it all really good!!

Today as we head across Missouri to the far eastern part of the state and our next destination, we were able to gather up a few of our favorite things here and there. We've had requests for primitive vases, children's chairs and washboards. I think we've met some of those requests these last few days! Plus as a bonus we had two visitors at our campground helping us unload . . . lots of birds this trip, it must be the time of year!

Traveling through the mid-west is so peaceful. Fields of cows munching away and I'm always amazed at how few people are on the roads!

Moving on down the road, we finally came to the farm of some friends who have picked antiques up for us since the beginning of our store in 1985!! We had a nice visit and came away with some fun things. We had to quickly load in the rain, but were able to unload our jeep at our campground so that you could get a glimpse of our treasures.

When we closed our store, we gave our sources for beautiful wool to several of the quilt shops near us. What I've been hearing is that no one has picked up on what we used to carry, so . . . that leads us to our next stop, the home of Blackberry Primitives in Lincoln, Nebraska and the decision to carry some of the gorgeous hand dyed wool in our booth that we used to have in our store!! When we get home, we will be contacting our other vendors so that you will have lots of choices!!!
