A Message from President Ryan Rippee What a year 2020 has been so far. Jesus’s words from the Sermon on the Mount prove wise: "Therefore do not be anxious about tomorrow, for tomorrow will be anxious for itself. Sufficient for the day is its own trouble" (Matt 6:34). What a comfort to know that Christ is on his throne at the right hand of the Father, having sent us the Spirit so that we are not orphaned or alone! Furthermore, because Christ is our high priest, even in the mid...st of this COVID-19 pandemic and social unrest, we can approach the Father and receive his generous wisdom (Jam 1:5), mercy and grace to help in our time of need (Heb 4:16), and we can cast our cares on him because he cares for us (1 Pet 5:7). With our upcoming Exalting Christ Conference (September 1012), the Cornerstone Bible College and Seminary has partnered with Community Bible Church of Vallejo, California to provide an opportunity for church leaders and their wives to worship Christ, be challenged and trained in Christ-exalting ministry, and find mutual encouragement with other like-minded leaders. Now, more than ever, we need our pastors and elders to shepherd us to the supremacy and all-sufficiency of Christ, applying the gospel to our fears, our troubles, our relationships, and our witness to a watching world. We want to invite you to the conference as well as our annual TCBS dinner (Thursday, September 10) during the conference. Every year we host the dinner in order to share both what the Lord has done through TCBS in the past year as well as our plans for the future. We plan on taking a "love offering" during the dinner to help support the ongoing operating expenses of the seminary. This gift will go directly toward training the next generation of pastors, missionaries, and Christian leaders for gospel ministry. Even if you are unable to attend the conference or TCBS dinner, would you please consider giving a gift this month to strengthen our finances for the upcoming academic year? Regardless of size, your gift matters, and your generosity helps ensure that the mission of TCBS will continue. You can give online at www.tcbs.org/give or you can make checks payable to "TCBS." If you send a check, please include your address so that we can send you a tax-deductible receipt. Finally, I also want to invite you to our graduation ceremony for 2020 on Sunday evening, September 27 at 6:00 PM at Community Bible Church. Although we had to postpone the ceremony due to COVID-19, we know that this year’s graduates are an excellent representation of the school’s vision to train pastors and leaders who exalt and proclaim Christ. Your servant in Christ, Ryan Rippee President

As many of you are aware, Solano County has extended the shelter in place until May 17, 2020 due to the COVID-19 pandemic. We will continue to faciliate our spring quarter classes in an online format while we are under this shelter in place order and remain in a "wait and see" holding pattern for the date when we can return to normal in-class schooling. Because of the current situation, we have decided to postpone the graduation ceremony until a date to be decided in the fall... (originally intended to be held Sunday, June 14th). We plan to let you know the specifics as soon as we can rearrange the ceremony. Please continue to keep us in your prayers. Would you also consider giving a gift today to help us finish our academic year strong? Your gift supports the daily ongoing operations of TCBS and has lasting impact. Regardless of size, your gift matters, and your generosity helps ensure that the mission of TCBS will continue. You can give online at www.tcbs.org/give or you can make checks payable to "TCBS." If you send a check, please include your address so that we can send you a tax-deductible receipt. Finally, as a Christian community, we at The Cornerstone Bible College and Seminary want to continue to display gospel hope in the sufficiency and supremacy of Christ our Lord. May he continue to be your firm foundation through these troubled times. For Christ and His Church, Ryan Rippee President

Students, Faculty, and Friends of TCBS, In the last thirty-six hours, due to growing concerns over Covid-19, we’ve seen the federal government and our local governments make new recommendations and legal orders to restrict large gatherings in an attempt to curb the spread of this virus. It is possible that more restrictions will be put in place within the next twenty-four to forty-eight hours. As they stand right now, these restrictions on corporate assemblies do not affect... TCBS due to the size of our enrollment. Our classes rarely consist of more than ten people, and on any given day, there are no more than forty people on the TCBS campus. For this reason, and until we are instructed otherwise by our local officials, we will hold class and office hours this coming week (March 16-20) while also encouraging all of our students, faculty members, and administrators to continue following all CDC preventative guidelines. 1. Avoid close contact with people who are presently sick. 2. Avoid touching your eyes, mouth, and nose with unwashed hands. 3. If you are presently ill, remain at home until you recover. 4. If you are experiencing symptoms related to Covid-19 (fever, cough, shortness of breath), see a doctor immediately. 5. Cough and sneeze into a tissue or your elbow. 6. Regularly wash your hands with soap and water for at least 20 seconds. During our spring break (March 23-27), the administration will reevaluate the situation and determine our course of action for the spring quarter. We will let you know as soon as possible what next quarter will entail. We also ask that you continue to pray that the Lord would protect our staff, students, and faculty from this illness as we seek to remain faithful to the Great Commission during this season of difficulty. Please also pray that God would grant wisdom to our state and local officials and graciously put an end to this virus. For Christ and His Church, Ryan Rippee President
