We miss this & YOU!!!!!!

The Colony Sacramento 11.11.2020

This coming Tuesday (9/1) City Council will meet to discuss the next round of CARES Act funding for creative businesses and individuals. Currently, securing a portion of this funding is the best chance independent venues in Sacramento have to survive until we reopen well into next year. The good news is, you can help! If you are an artist who performs at venues, please let City Council know exactly why venues are crucial to your livelihood. Tell City Council how it will nega...tively affect your career if we go away permanently. If you are a music or comedy fan, you can also help us by sharing what our venues mean to you. Here’s how you can publicly comment: 1. Go to the online agenda for the meeting: https://sacramento.granicusideas.com//3776-5p/agenda_items 2. Click on item 7. 3. Share your story about why independent venues in town should be a priority in the allocation of CARES Act Relief Funding. 4. Click Submit Comment Submit your comment by Monday (8/31) to make sure it is received! We are incredibly grateful that we were considered for funding during the last round of allocations. But the truth is, it simply was not enough for us to survive until we reopen. Join the fight and help us #SaveOurStages. For more info, visit: CaCapitolVenueCoalition.org

We are proud to say that we are officially a part of the California Capitol Venue Coalition (@ccvc916). This organization has put Sacramento’s music, comedy, art, community, and live entertainment at the forefront of its cause to save the independent venues in our city. Be sure to check out the website to learn more about the CCVC’s mission and how you can help! https://www.cacapitolvenuecoalition.org/

Just wanted to update everyone as orders are lifted. We're just not quite comfortable opening at this time. We will be working dilligently to get the restuarant up to the new guidelines. We are applying to every loan/grant (propably about 30+) in hopes of staying alive as we've been closed for over 3 months. We are hoping that we can do small event/gathering once it's safe to do. We can't wait to see all your faces & hear all that music you play! Thank you to all who've donat...ed to help us ahere to guidelines & stay alive during this closure. We would not still be here without you! If you'd like to help, we are currently accepting donations at: Venmo- @Cafe-Colonial PayPal- [email protected] Cash App- $CafeColonial or FB Pay in messenger
