Success is often achieved by those who don’t know what failure is ( CBVA Hermosa Beach )

The greatest volleyball players learn how to use the quiet pauses of the game. They use the time before the serve as a moment to exhale, see the court, and envision the next point. They use those little moments to look forward to what lies ahead. They have learned to use those moments instead of ignore them. Right now we’re being asked to pause. We’re being told that if we simply pause and wait, we can grow stronger as a whole community. We’re being encouraged to do what i...s most difficult as athletes--to wait with patience in an unknown situation. We write this with the hope and encouragement that this will pass. We are taking the situation in daily and making sure we not only look out for our incredible community, but also make sure we’re doing what is right for our friends, families, and neighbors. We will not act out of panic. We will continue making choices that serve you and keep you as safe as possible. We are actively monitoring the situation and taking a two-week pause until April 1st across all of our beaches. As we learn more and speak with more authorities we will keep you informed and updated. We’re learning to use this pause and not ignore it. We encourage you to do the same. See more
