The best way to learn guitar is to use a guitar that is the right fit for you! Smaller kids will need smaller guitars, here's a quick guide: Measure you child from floor to belly button. This length is a pretty good guide for a scale length (from bridge to nut as shown in the picture. Use the following guide to choose the correct scale length: 24 inches - 40 cm... 26 inches - 45 cm 28.5 inches - 50 cm 33.5 inches - 55 cm 35.5 inches - 60 cm 36.75 inches - 63 cm Higher - Full size (65 cm) You can always check in with your teacher to make sure it looks correct! Sometimes music can change our mood, change our thoughts, or take us to a different place. We may not know why our favorite songs do this, but it is what makes them a little more magical. #wisdwomwednesday #music #classicalmusic #classicalcomposer #composer #beethoven #musicschool #musiclessons #guitar #piano #violin #singing #musicstudents #redwoodcity #sunnyvale #bayarea #california #siliconvalley

Music should be fun, and while some chores can be fun, there are many who will do what they can to put chores off until later. Keep music fun by adding games TO the practice, and not witholding them until practice is over!
