Proactive vs. Reactive: one of the top 3 reasons to hire a wedding planner... let's unpack that! When you have a professional wedding planner, part of their job is to quite literally predict what could go wrong based on all of the moving parts of your wedding, and then PROACTIVELY plan for them. Plan for what to do if scenario a, b, c, d, etc... happens. Or, even better, to proactively move things around in the planning/prep phase to avoi...d them happening all together! Too often, we see and hear of couples who opt not to hire a professional planner, instead being REACTIVE on the day of. That is truly a recipe for a stressful, fly on the seat of your pants style wedding. I'm guessing that's what you're trying to avoid, right? Especially if you're actively reading our content, you CARE about avoiding that. THAT is a big piece of the puzzle as to WHY you hire a planner my friends. Want more pieces of the puzzle? Check out my interview with @katmurillophoto (the raw TALENT behind this wedding photography btw... she's killer!) on her blog! Link in bio. What's the thing stopping you from hiring a planner? How can we help? See more

REALITY: this is me getting sh*t HANDLED with a newborn. Which means no makeup, a big comfy sweatshirt (that I may or may not have been living in), day 5 of unwashed hair, and a sleepy baby that just needs cuddles while you work. And I’m here for it. Remember how we talked about being productive during stagnant time a couple days ago? This is what one of my productivity sessions looks like now... it’s slower than my normal pace but it’s s...till moving the needle. How?? Because my foundation is SET. I know who my ideal client is. I know how to speak to them in a way that SERVES them (not me). I have the work flows and systems in place that allow me to still produce while in a slower season of life. So how do you set the foundation? I got you boo... WEDDING PLANNERS: new, aspiring, and those in biz 5 years or less looking to take it to the next level, my newest 1:1 coaching program will launch for YOU!! The program will open for enrollment in January 2021... which is quite literally around the corner. Head to the link in bio to join the waitlist - people on this list will get the deets and access to apply FIRST! LETS GET THIS PARTY STAAAAARTED!!

How to use the 6-8 hrs/day that you spend feeding your baby productively... IF YOU WANT. That's the kicker. If you are the one who can spend that time gazing at your beautiful baby and soaking that all in every min... DO IT!! More power to ya!!... ALSO: feel free to swap out the words "that you spend feeding your baby" with any of the following: "that you spend watching TV" "that you spend scrolling Instagram" that you... *insert anything that you spend time on, that could be spent differently* Me? I'm about 50/50 with the hours I am clocking while feeding Penelope. I often find myself... just mindlessly scrolling. Scrolling Instagram, Pinterest, pictures, texts, etc. Which gets old. FAST. So I've decided to turn these moments of "scrolling" into productivity. Here's what I've chosen to do when I'm not finding myself gushing over the little miracle that is Penny girl: 1 CAPTION BRAINSTORMING: literally had this topic on a brainstorm note in my phone from a 3am feeding last week Sometimes my wheels get TURNING during the late night feedings and I don't want to forget what I came up with, which I will. So I jot them down to use later - like this post! 2 EDUCATE MYSELF: I'm going to download my first audio book - The Nuclear Effect! My girl (and a KILLER business coach) @bri.norberg recommended it and I'm pumped to keep myself on top of the coaching industry during this time away. 3 ENGAGED WITH MY AUDIENCE: instead of just scrolling, I've been reaching out to you wonderful people! And sliding into DMs here and there of potential future wedding planning students - welcome friend if you've joined the party after one of these exchanges! What other ideas do you have for using any kind of stationary downtime productively?? See more

Did you get engaged over the holidays?! CONGRATS!! You’re gonna want to read this... And yes we still do wedding planning and coordination. It’s the heart and soul of Becca & Co., what started this entire entrepreneurial journey that has become so much more. It’s not going ANYWHERE!... With that said: we are almost completely full for 2021, and most other vendors will be as well at this point. Largely due to January being high booking season (post engagement season... which is what us wedding pros call the holidays lol!) but also because of 2020 postponements. It filled up FAST. We have availability for only FOUR more weddings this year (August-December 2021 only). However 2022 still has openings!! So if you’re wondering if we still book planning gigs - the answer is yes!! If you’re wondering if we have availability for 2021 - the answer is yes but it’s closing up fast with only a few options still open! I STRONGLY encourage you to head to the link in bio to book a Wedding Planning Discovery Call ASAP! If you’re wondering if we have availability for 2022 - the answer is a much bigger yes!! (For now.) And you should also book your discovery call ASAP! I cannot wait to hear all about your love story (seriously, I’m a hopeless romantic and so is the rest of the planning team!!) and all of us can’t wait to GET YOU MARRIED! Questions? Ask below or shoot me a DM See more

"I'm SO motivated to ______!! Let's do this!" "I'm just not feeling motivated to ____ today. I'll be ready for it tomorrow." What do these two statements have in common? ... One shows a person who's amped and ready to tackle their goals - which seems great! While the other shows a person who isn't feelin' it and will get back to it tomorrow. But what's the common denominator? That BOTH rely on a FEELING. Specifically, a feeling of motivation dictating whether they take on their goals/tasks for the day or not. HINT: if you want to truly tackle a goal, truly make a dream a reality, truly impact your life and make a change for the better - DO NOT RELY ON FEELING UP TO IT. Because guess what? You're HUMAN. You're not always going to "feel" like it. Quit using motivation as your compass. And start using DISCIPLINE. Discipline is a decision. It's a choice that you and you alone get to make. Want to achieve a goal? Then DECIDE to. Regardless of how you feel day to day. Stay DISCIPLINED and choose the goal again and again. Toss "motivation" out the window and take control over your commitment to YOURSELF. See more

Finding beauty in the simplest of things is one of the best ways to always find the silver lining. ALWAYS. I may sound like a broken record sometimes, but I believe in every ounce of my being that even in the darkest or most chaotic of times, there is joy. There is beauty.... It takes some practice, and some serious rewiring of your brain, but think about it. Think about a time where your world seemed to be crashing around you... that could be right now. What's just ONE thing that has come from the insanity that has made you better? Made you stronger? Or brought forward a blessing that you wouldn't have had otherwise? TRUST. I know this can be hard. But once you start to embrace and see the little things in life as the BIG things in life... your world will quickly become a hell of a lot more beautiful. It all starts with your MINDSET. What's one thing you've GAINED this past week that puts a tick in the "life is beautiful" column? See more

Knowing if your couple wants to do a first look or not is CRITICAL before you draft their timeline. Here's why : There are some elements on the timeline that can be adjusted on the spot or even the week of that really don't end up affecting too many other pieces of the wedding day puzzle. Deciding last minute if want to do a first look or not is NOT one of them. There is a ripple effect from this one decision that dictates quite a few t...hings: YES to a first look means that this moment has to happen immediately following your couple being fully dressed and hair/makeup ready. PLUS, they'll also do a majority of their newlywed photos, followed by combined wedding party and family photos. What does that mean? You'll need around 1.5-2 hours BEFORE any guests arrive to get them all done! So hair and make up will need to start earlier, family will need an earlier arrival time, photography/videography/florists will need to arrive earlier as well. So, if your couple hasn't been guided to make a decision in advance and on the day of decides to "go for it" ... a LOT will not be ready for this last minute change. Or on the flip side, if they decide last minute to NOT have a first look, they'll likely be paying for a few additional hours they in fact don't need, family will be hanging around way too early, and you may run out of time to get all those photos done later. BOTTOM LINE: planners, you need to encourage them to make a final decision on a first look or not BEFORE you finalize the timeline. If they are having a hard time, walk them through each of these scenarios. Then they'll understand WHY they have to choose! Questions? Drop them below! See more

WHAT. A. YEAR. Oh 2020...you, my friend, were far from all bad. You pushed us to slow down.... To learn new things. To reinvent ourselves. Our businesses. To celebrate the small victories and shake off the losses. To find comfort in the four walls of our homes. To never take a simple act such as a hug or kiss on the cheek for granted. I cannot wait to see what we all choose to take with us into 2021. What goals we set. So I have a surprise, well kinda a surprise LOL! If you watch my stories, you know what’s coming... I tweaked last year’s Goal Setting Worksheet for 2021 and linked it in my bio! Download it fo’ FREE and use it to help you set attainable goals in your personal life and in business! It’s all there for ya! In the worksheet I lay out my own step by step process of goal setting for you to easily follow. The truth is... we hold ourselves accountable FAR more consistently when we put things in writing or speak them into existence. Download the worksheet, set the goals, and share them here... SPEAK THEM OUT FRIEND!! See more
