We have two winners for our Rescue Pet giveaway! Meet Jack Daniels, the tiny guy on top! His mom found him in the road, rough start in his life but now living his best life!! Poor Marty McFly lost his human mom and found himself sad and lost at VCAS, until Rebecca found out he was there. She flew to VCAS & adopted him immediately! She promised her friend she would care for him & that’s exactly what she’s doing! ... Donation will be made to VCAS in both of your names! We will contact you to pick up your raffle bag! We love hearing about rescue stories! We love all of you, Ella, Cami, Auggie, Naomi and Stitch #theanimaldoctorventura

Congratulations to our day 2 winner Piper! Great job everyone getting your pets out and about! Let’s kick off day 3 of giveaways! Today we want to shine the spot light on our rescue pets. ... Here is Kelsey’s rescue dog stranger. Her husband found him running loose on a cattle ranch where the ranch was so fed up with him chasing the cows that he had taken to shooting at him. Stranger was lucky enough to make it home to a safe place where her husband named him Stranger because he was a stay. Show us your rescue pets, cat or dog in the comments and be entered to win the following: Cat bag (including joint supplement, treats, toys & note cards) OR Dog bag (including joint supplement, treats, toys, frisbee & poop bags) PLUS WE will make a $50 donation to VCAS in your pets name!

With the heat comes fleas! Call us today and get your pet(s) protected. Fleas can cause uncomfortable itching, serious skin disease, transmit tapeworms, and cause anemia of the blood. We recommend Credelio oral for dogs (it also protects against Ticks!) & Cheristin for cats. Administered once monthly, They are extremely effective and safe treatments that eliminate fleas before they are able to reproduce and lay eggs. Fleas on your pet are evidence of fleas in your pet's env...ironment. You will need to use flea control on all pets in your household for several months to reduce the environmental infestation. It is recommended to use flea control year-round to prevent infestations from building up in your home & yard. You may also need to treat your yard &/or inside your home with products that contain insect growth regulators (IGR's) to prevent flea eggs in the environment from hatching, & to kill environmental larvae that hatch from these eggs. Larvae that progress to pupae are resistant to all insecticides-the fleas that emerge from them & land on their hosts will be killed by effective flea products in 10-60 minutes-before they are able to lay eggs.
