Happy Friday! Today is another #fridayintroduction. Meet Katie Katie has been with The TALK Team since October of 2020. Since then, she has quickly created great relationships with our clients and therapists. Katie’s favorite color is pink, she loves to read & bake, and her favorite therapy activity is playing with balloons! She loves to make her kiddos laugh A fun fact about Katie is that her childhood dog and husband share the same name! Her life’s theme song is Burning Gold by Christian Perry Do you know Katie? Today’s Black History Month feature is: I Am Brown. While this doesn’t feature an iconic figure in Black History, it does feature YOU. It is a celebration of the skin you are in. Representation doesn’t just matter in the workplace or the classroom, it matters in our literature- especially literature for our children! Today is Random Acts of Kindness Day!For the past two years we have celebrated Kindness Week with @dude.be.nice and our whole office! Toddlers love simple, repetitive activities that challenge their balance, improve eye-hand coordination and inspire imagination. They are learning vocabulary words and colors, but don’t worry if you they don’t exhibit an excitement for letters or numbers yet. Toddlers are improving their language to communicate with others, and often prefer to engage in pretend play, most notably by mimicking their parents or their favorite characters. Read on below for some fun ways to engage your toddler!
