Abalone shells make us happy! They seem to say "Welcome to California". These are from years and years ago... they're just like old friends and greet us with a big smile every single time. Hope you have a beachin' weekend!

Wowza, we're booked for July! Maybe it's because of our new handmade Tabarka Studio tile. Or maybe it's because we haven't raised our prices. Or maybe it's because the Mermaid Cottage is so darn cute! Don't worry, we still have plenty of great weeks available for you. But we do fill...

I know everyone is super stoked when they find seaglass... but when ya find a perfectly intact urchin shell it makes us want to do cartwheels!!!! What treasures will you find on your beach walk?

The colors of the ocean are incredible. The way the light bounces. Mmmmhmmm. But a particularly favorite part about being so close to Mother Ocean is falling asleep (and waking up) to the sound of waves.

A super fun spot for amazing oysters. Right on the beach. About a 1 mile easy bike ride away from the Mermaid Cottage.
