http://www.2blocksofart.org//7/5/4/375484/art_walk_map.png The 7th Annual 2 BLOCKS OF ART art walk and block party is scheduled Friday, October 13th, 2017 from 5 to 9 p.m. As with the six previous years, this free event will bring over 75 artists in over 25 locations on two blocks, 6th Street from Market to Howard Streets. The art walk will feature a range of art exhibits and live performances in galleries, bars, restaurants, a laundromat, coffee shops and a number of other... storefronts. This year's event premieres "6th Street Superheroes", a large-scale light art projection on the back of 16-story high 995 Market Street. Projected time-lapse videos of illustrators at work transforming everyday people into fantastical superheroes will be shown from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. The 500 block of Jessie Street will be closed as a viewing area, featuring a stage with live music and live mural painting. This coming Friday is the 7th annual 2 Blocks of Art, with 26 locations already lined up and about 75 artists altogether participating.As many of you have heard 2 Blocks will feature a projection art premiere. Well, the first projection ran last tonight was stunning, see for yourself: We hope to see you this Friday!!
