The Haven Spiritual Retreat Center

We have started an expansion project at The Haven. Over the next 90 days, we will be adding 2 bathrooms and 1 bedroom. The bedroom will also convert to a moderate sized meeting room (should accommodate at least a dozen people around a conference table set up) or more if sitting in a circle or theater style sitting arrangement). The results of this project will be that each bedroom will have its own bathroom (so no sharing required), we will be able to accommodate small group overnight retreat stays (3-8 people depending on sleeping preferences) and can host offsite meetings for small to intermediate groups (e.g., board meetings, team meetings, small educational seminars, planning meetings, etc.). We’ll add pictures and update our website hopefully by early June about our expanded offerings.

Hi Friends! DeeAnn and I opened The Haven spiritual retreat center in March of his year. We have not heavily promoted it to date. But we see this as an important part of the ministries God has called us to and want to get the word out about it. A personal retreat center is not about groups of people gathering (like a men's or women's retreat). Rather, it is a place designed to offer individuals a peaceful setting allowing solitude - a place where they can be quiet, meditate,... study, journal, pray and allow God's spirit to cover them. An individual retreat can be focused and purposeful (e.g., looking for God's input regarding an important decision or processing a troubling issue). So far, we've had quite a variety of guests including seminary students, missionaries, pastors, couples and other Christians spend time at the site. And, they have given us very positive feedback in cards, notes and letters. Now we're going to direct them to Yelp to provide some public feedback.
