Who's sewing today? I scored these Van Gogh images at the swap table at the SCVQA Marin retreat last November. All four are different sizes, and all are printed a little wonky. (Hmm, maybe that's why they were on the swap table) Get out the graph paper, time for lots of figuring! Used some Grant Haffner "Horizon" fabric in my stash to accent them, because he's a painter too. Anyway, it's coming together and I'm happy! #scvqa #granthaffner #vincentvangogh

Sharing somthing bright and pretty on this smokey SF Bay Area Sunday. I used a variety of Kaffe Fasset fat eighths and his aboriginal dot in gold, and Deb Tucker's Studio 180 V block ruler, to make these fun 60 degree triangles. These blocks were like jelly beans...couldn't stop at a handful, just kept making them until I ran out of fabric! @ The Granary

Pillow complete! "African Animals" quilt block art done up in a 14 x 24" pillow. I had fun improvising the pieced front, and using scraps from an old batik project to accent the back. Used a variegated YLI Jeans stitch thread for the quilting. Happy with how this turned out! #quiltblockart @ The Granary

Can't decide whether to make this a table runner or a pillow. Bought the pillow form, but now I'm liking those rusty spokes, and they are kind of hidden in the curve of the pillow.... Someone who is helping coordinate making makeshift N95 type masks for County of Santa Clara medical providers messaged the shop on FB. If you want to join their Facebook group, they are calling for more sewers. https://www.facebook.com/groups/1770718176397246/ I know there are many patterns and techniques for masks, and different recipient organizations. This one is close to home.

On worldwide quilting day, my horizons are not very broad. Like so many others in California I'm sheltering in place at home, in my sewing corner.
