The Friendship Paddle

The Friendship Paddle Challenge 2020 has come to an end and we can not thank you all enough for the amazing love, support, and paddle miles you all contributed. If ever there was a year to punt, it would have been this year - but that's not who we are! Indicative of our community and commitment to our cause, you stepped up to show our appreciation of Peter Winn and his legacy to our community as well as supporting Jan and Ally and the rest of the Winn clan. Collectively, w...e racked up over 2,000 miles! As shown in the map, if we start in Peter's hometown of Wimborne Minster, then we have paddled enough to circumnavigate the British Isles and bring Peter back home. Truly amazing! There's only one outcome we wish was different - but Peter's legacy lives on in the Friendship Paddle Community. We thank each and every one of you for all you gave to buoy Jan and Ally and our TFP Community. Until next year, be well, stay in touch and paddle on. @ Carpinteria, California

The 2020 Friendship Paddle Challenge in Memory of Peter Winn officially kicked off on August 15, 2020. Our community has embraced this challenge and collectively paddled an impressive 725 miles through September 9, 2020 which is equivalent to paddling from the California-Mexico border to Eureka (almost the entire coast of California!) as shown in the attached map. More importantly, these paddles have brought us together in different forms and fashions to honor the memory of Peter and support Jan and Ally. #bpositiveforpeter #friendshippaddle2020

Paddlers and Boat Captains, We hope this message finds you all well. Tonight (10/9) from 6pm to 10pm, the Topa Topa SB Taproom will open their doors to us for a post-paddle gathering. Bring your family and friends, as a percentage of the sales on the evening will go towards our fundraising efforts for Mike Kelley.
