Happy Native American Heritage Month! Native American Heritage Month celebrates the rich and diverse cultures, traditions, and history while acknowledging the important contributions of American Indians and Alaska Natives in the United States. We must first acknowledge that we are on the traditional territory and homelands of the Yokut and Mono people whose diverse tribal communities share stewardship over this land. Throughout November, DBH will focus on raising awareness about the behavioral health disparities impacting the American Indian/Alaska Native community and provide resources on how to be culturally responsive to the community.
