The 2020 presidential election still has no official verdict as of 8 p.m. Wednesday night. Students anxiously await final results and have shared their thoughts on the election thus far.
Burlingame students participated in San Mateo County's Student Democracy Program by working at polling centers across the county. Distancing guidelines and other preventative measures were in place in an attempt to keep those working and voting safe.

On Oct. 20, the San Mateo Union High School District (SMUHSD) paired with the Black Parents Association (BPA) of SMUHSD to hold a virtual town hall called Unity in the Community.

This year, the SMUHSD moved its annual college fair online, with representatives from several universities around the nation hosting Zoom calls that students can hop in and out of, in an attempt to encapsulate the feel of an in-person college fair.
