The museum misses having Bond Manufactoring as a neighbor but they’re still employers in our community. Be sure to buy Bond Manufactoring when you’re looking for garden tools, or garden furniture assessors. Your support Antioch when you do!

Leo Fontana is known as the Father of Modern Antioch. He helped transform Antioch from a small town to its larger self. He helped formed Antioch Sports Legends and the Antioch Senior Center. Although this article is several years old, it is nice story of a life of community service.

Tarantulas are visible in October since it’s their mating season in Antioch. Interesting information from Black Diamond Mines’ Facebook page.

The Administration Committee held their monthly Zoom meeting to discuss issues of the museum today. At the top of the agenda was the need to establish guidelines for making the museum safe for our volunteers and visitors when the museum reopens. Further discussion on the museum guidelines will be held 10:00am Wednesday, October 28th Zoom AHS Board Meeting. Public comments are welcome at 10:00am when the meeting starts. Comment below if you are interested. Antioch's Delta Rotarians continue to make a difference at the Antioch Historical Society Museum. Delta Rotarians Mike Green and Tom Hartrick, of Infinity Painting, came by the museum today to power wash the gazebo in preparation for the gazebo to be painted this Saturday. Thank you Antioch Rotary Club and Rotary Club of the Delta for continuing to make a difference at the Antioch Historical Museum! #Antioch

Happy 95th Birthday to Antioch's first female Mayor, Mrs. Louise Giersch! Mayor Giersch was our beautiful city's Mayor from 1970-1975. Celebrating her birthday with a slice of cake are her daughters Lori Giersch-Brown and Linda (Ollie). Happy Birthday Mrs. Giersch! #antioch

It takes team work to make things happen at the museum! Thanks to the efforts of the Buildings and Grounds Chair Stan Davis and former AHS Board member Tom Menasco, the museum is installing new lighting at the entrance gate. Working on the installation is Larry Bedford of Bedford Electrics and AHS Volunteer grounds men Dan Tuck. Not in the photo is Steve Bowen. Thank you gentlemen, we’re excited about having our new lights out front!

The Antioch Historical Society Museum is very excited that repairs and painting to its gazebo are in progress thanks to the Antioch and Delta Rotary Clubs in Antioch. Special thank you to Antioch Rotary President Tirrell Muhammad and Delta Rotary President Tom McNell, Jim and Mike Green, and Thomas Jenkins for their efforts coordinating this project. We greatly appreciate the efforts to improve the museum by the Rotary. The gazebo was built 17 years ago by the Antioch Rotary Club.
