We continued to see exceptional buyer demand despite the Holiday week between Christmas and New Year's being historically one of the slowest of the year. It seems that the number of homes going under contract hasn't decreased in the same proportion. Buyer demand is outpacing home availability. This continued demand means we're likely to see continued market strength as we kick off the New Year. As we head into the final weeks of the year, we're seeing the number of listings coming on the market (as we normally do), but it seems that buyer demand is still keeping up with a similar proportion of buyers ready to purchase as we've seen through most of the last few months. ... It's normal to see a slow down as the holiday season pulls both buyers and sellers away from the market, but with so many people sticking close to home this year, we may not see quite the same level of drop off that we see most years. It'll be most interesting to see how the new shelter in place orders impact activity too.
