I am so happy to see the progress of the Ocoa Project and all the help and education we've been able to provide to our local communities! Thank you, Maria and Guillermo! The Ocoa Bay project began their work promoting economic and social development. Providing educational and social opportunities to uplift the neighboring communities the Ocoa Foundation actively helps improve living conditions, education, and health. Housing: Implementing a program to help our employees, a...nd later on the community, to build basic sustainable houses using earth blocks and solar panels, and are working with families together to build their own houses. Health: Partnering with health institution to offer dental and health care operatives for the community twice a year. We are implementing preventive health and nutritional programs for elementary children. Farming and land restoration: Working with and teaching small independent farmers and fisherman sustainable and eco-friendly practices for their fields, orchards, and gardens, to raise sheep and goats and implementing a permaculture approach. Education: Partnering with the local schools, we offer extracurricular classes in photography, technology, environmental issues, and health. We currently teach English as a second language in conjunction with the technology institute, students may also take courses in hospitality, viticulture, and culinary practices.
