First session with this handsome 3 year old today and he flew through all the pre-reqs so smoothly that I went ahead and put the first ride on him today! Good job Scooter and good job to Amy in her prep work!

Horses are like water. They follow the path of least resistance. Start where your horse is today, shaping and building your stream. Allow *time* for the water to find its way. You just set it up and let the horse find it. Soon enough, you will find small streams have turned to vast rivers. Small first steps have grown into intricate maneuvers. Horses are like water.

Full moon this weekend! Great time to deworm your horses, when parasites are most vulnerable because they detach from organ walls to breed and lay eggs. Take a fecal sample in to your local vet to get an FEC (fecal egg count) to determine whether you need to deworm as well as which types of parasites you’ll need to control. #snowmoon
