Our friends at Synergy Organic Clothing have a few short videos which show their process. In this video, we see the source of organic cotton used at their Santa Cruz warehouse. https://vimeo.com/325035725

Spotlight on Big Dipper Wax Works of Seattle Washington, as paraphrased from their website: Their beeswax is filtered via natural clay process that cleans the wax of impurities, yet allows the wax to retain its inherent color and aroma. Big Dipper Wax Work candles are produced by hand in small batches. Big Dipper Wax Works, are committed to making 100% pure beeswax candles. Most of the beeswax used is collected from Northwest beekeepers, including British Columbia. The crops ...in this region rank lowest in exposure to pesticides in North America and is the highest quality beeswax available. As business grows, they have had to expand to wax resources outside of the North American channel and are exploring global wax sourcing. They actively pursue creating fair trade partnerships with beekeepers in several foreign countries.m, abd currently source about 25% of wax globally. All wax ha hand selected and run through extensive testing to insure it is up to high quality standards. Beeswax gets its wonderful natural color and honey-like fragrance from the pollen and nectar of the flowers the bees are pollinating. The color often depends on what particular crop the bees are pollinating. Dark berries, like blueberries or blackberries, will derive a much darker, browner wax. Clover, however, will result in a brighter, golden tone. Big Dipper Wax Works does dye their colored candles. They use eco-friendly dyes that do not contain hazardous solvents or additives such as naphtha or naphthalene, and are never tested on animals. All candles are handmade, and the beeswax is never 100% consistent in shade, so there may be variations in color. The next time you’re in the neighborhood, check out the various candles in stock here at Terramor Organic Home. There’s plenty of options to choose from, and we’re sure you’ll find the right candle for you.
