The world's first diesel to electric conversion of MI JACK Reach Stacker is now operational! This vehicle has been designed to meet current clean air standards ...at port operations required by CARB (California Air Resources Board). The regulation requires diesel trucks and buses that operate in California to be upgraded to reduce emissions. Weighing 170,000 lbs, the AGM Battery packs replace a Cummins 330 H.P, and is entirely electric. A patented two-stage DC electric motor controls the power train and hydraulic systems. On-Board battery charging system and charge status indicators (seen on the right-side), and the battery compartment can be seen in the video clip behind the diamond plate hood.
