This is a huge milestone for THC! We are so grateful to ShelterTech and their partners for helping THC bridge the digital divide for the Mission Hotel’s 240 permanent residents.

Today marks 5 years since our Transitional Housing Department was created in partnership with the San Francisco Adult Probation Department! Since then, our partnership with APD has served 690 participants! Together we have helped participants transition back into society by holding them accountable to their savings plans, supporting them through employment, and assisting them in locating and moving on to permanent housing. The 2020 Virtual Reentry Resource Conference (happening now!) is a great way for our Transitional Housing team to celebrate their accomplishments over the past 5 years and to continue to reduce recidivism in our community: https://fb.me/e/4ETHMpOWU. Thank you San Francisco Adult Probation Department for your continued partnership!

Thank you so much to Masks2All for facilitating an incredible donation of KN95 masks and reusable masks! With nearly 2,000 permanent residents, 380 staff members, and over 600 clients served through THC's various programs, our PPE supplies were getting low. We are so grateful Masks2All was able to donate this much-needed resource.

As we adjust to the new normal resulting from the COVID-19 pandemic, we are grateful for the surge of community support we have experienced. We recently received 400 masks from the Silicon Valley Cyber Lions Club! Check out the great work they've been doing to support others: https://legacythroughgiving.org/programs/covid-19/.

These past few months have been challenging to say the least. Yet despite every difficult situation we’ve been presented with, from the COVID-19 pandemic to the recent killing of George Floyd and reminder of racial inequality in our country, THC staff have shown an incredible display of strength and resilience. We owe much of our 40-year history to their dedication and continued support of our mission, our Core Values, and the marginalized and vulnerable population we serve. We created this video as a small thank you to our incredible team for their hard work over the past few months. Please enjoy: https://vimeo.com/427863555

Attention neighbors: please help us with our #MasksForD6 campaign, to raise money to get masks to everyone who needs them in District 6! According to the @CDC wearing a mask is a necessary step to stop the spread of the virus and yet many of our community members do not have access to basic protective masks. Therefore, we are co-sponsoring a Go Fund Me with Supervisor Matt Haney and many other community partners to help protect local residents. Please donate to the Go Fund Me so we can order more masks quickly! https://tinyurl.com/masksforD6. Together we can #FlattenTheCurve!

As an essential service, the Tenderloin Housing Clinic remains open 24 hours a day in the midst of the #COVID19 outbreak to continue providing permanent supportive housing and legal, money management, and supportive services to the 2,000+ clients we serve annually. We have adjusted cleaning routines to adhere to the guidelines of the CDC and public health officials, we are educating staff and clients on the necessary precautions to take to prevent the spread of the virus, and... we are working hard to ensure residents in our 22 SRO hotels have access to food and other necessary resources. We are so appreciative of our staff for remaining committed to our agency’s mission and for being flexible during this time as we continue to process frequent updates from the City. Now more than ever we feel the need to Strengthen Communities and to support each other as we navigate these unprecedented times. We send our gratitude to the many other agencies and vendors who, like THC, remain open and of service to the City’s most vulnerable populations. We also appreciate those who have made adjustments to be able to shelter in place in order to help protect our City. Thank you all for doing your part! See more
