Tech Trap House is a media and events company aimed at bridging the gap between tech and community - using the arts. We host monthly events that feature 'Hip -n- Paint' (a sip and paint with a Hip-Hop twist), an inspiring talk by a speaker from the tech industry or a panel (this time a panel) and LIVE performances by local artists. This month, we have a FIRE panel of 'Black Women in Business' including Barbara Banks (owner of paint contracting company, 'B&C Painting and Decor...ating), Clinay Cameron (social entrepreneur and founder of 'Thrive Like Me' project) and Keiarra Ortiz-Cedeño (founder of Ever Arable - company aimed at empowering people to grow their own food). We will also hive LIVE performances by Footz the Beast (Kevin Robinson) (San Francisco rapper [Livewire Records]) and Raquel Earle (professional singer & performer). Cory Lancaster, @Instagram Product Policy Associate, North Carolina native, Duke Alumni, & entrepreneur, will discuss her journey as a black woman in tech and how... she has combined her interest in public policy, coding, digital media, public relations, and how she landed at Instagram. With her story, she’ll share how she’s been able to outpace her obstacles. AMA Musiek started pursing her music career this year! She is in pursuit to create music that changes lives, open blind eyes and hearts to loving humanity in a way that brings us together in good vibes. She grew up listening to multiple genres of music such as Gospel, Reggae, Underground Hip Hop and Classics. A.M.A never shied away from exploring more about music and its universal language. Amazed by the impact music has had and has on the hearts of people, getting into the music realm was not a hard job to do. Yanna, was born and raised in Jacksonville, FL (Duval). She's been writing and emceeing since she was 11 or 12 years old. She attended Clark Atlanta University and continued honing her skills in Mass Media and Public Relations. Atlanta aka A-Town inevitably influenced her as an artist. Eventually, her heart led her into the education field and living in the Bay Area. Heavily inspired by Bay culture, she has never felt so ready as an artist and performer. Her in her words, "I love to inspire and be inspired". Her music and students are her driving inspiration and sharing her voice with your community.
