We had some great success as a team this last weekend at @ibjjf’s LA Open! . We had 4 competitors and we brought home 2 Golds and 2 Silvers over the weekend. . To those who competed, thank you. And to those, who go out of your way to help your teammates get ready, thank you as well.... . One of the many things that brings pride to Triunfo is that our Fundamentals classes are packed with every rank and belt on the mat. . Our students are both humble and wise enough to know that Fundamentals doesn’t translate to Beginners. Instead, Fundamentals should be a part of your study throughout your journey to (and beyond) your blackbelt. . Thank you to @guardstudies for some great shots earlier this year.

We want to congratulate Mila for winning our raffle last week for the Youth Tutorial Challenge! Every youth member who recorded a tutorial of their favorite sequence or move was entered into a drawing for their choice of a BJJ or Muay Thai Gear Package. . All of the submissions were AMAZING and had Professor Felipe and I grinning ear to ear! We are working on a compilation video for you all to enjoy. . Parents, this week’s challenge was emailed to you on Wednesday and the due date is Monday at 12PM. Each submission will be entered into this weeks raffle so let’s go!

Team Triunfo you are missed! It’s been a week that our doors have been closed, but damn if this experience hasn’t cracked our hearts wide open. We cannot wait to be back on the mats with everyone. . Professor Felipe and I thought it would be fun to do a challenge this week for our Youth Program. . We are asking that each youth member take some time between now and Friday at 12PM to create a video tutorial of their choice! The tutorial can be for Jiu Jitsu OR Muay Thai, and i...t can be your favorite warm-up, technique, sequence, or combo. You may teach your tutorial using a sibling, parent, or even just walking the video through things step by step. . Details: - Try to keep the video around 1 minute in length. - Tell us your name and age in the beginning of the video. - Tell us what you’re demonstrating and why you chose it. - Parents please help record the video and email it to [email protected]. . Prizes: - After all submissions are in on Friday we will hold a raffle that will include everyone who participates. - If your name is drawn from the raffle you will win a 1 month Buddy Pass and your choice of either a Gi or Muay Thai Bundle (gloves, shin-pads, and wraps). . This last weekend @tapcancerout held an amazing and hugely successful event. . We are so proud of our athletes that represented our team for a great cause. . Congrats to @dannietelz, @howdy__doody, @roobngx_16, @winniethephuuu, and @rachel_yoga for getting out on the competition mats and grabbing a couple medals for us!

Congratulations to @rachel_yoga and @chelsierose333! They both won their division last Sunday at @jjworldleague, earning a couple gold medals for Team Triunfo. . A special thank you to Coach @bjj_viclima for all the extra time and dedication he has put in on behalf of our women’s program, and a special thank you to @danegracebjj for all the Sunday morning competition training!

Saturday was a big day for our Muay Thai program. Professor @euler___silva held evaluation sparring before our belt promotion alongside our awesome coaches @kev26yip and @hb_goodboy. These three work hard to bring quality instruction and a strong community to our striking game! Many of our athletes were promoted to a new belt and we couldn’t be more proud. . In the first picture you see @nnelson09 inspiring us all! She was just diagnosed with some tendinitis and is out here sparring one handed!

Triunfo Youth started our @jjworldleague tournament off right! . Skyler fought some hard and dominant fights to get to the finals where he ended up taking Silver. . Alex had his first tournament and earned his bronze medal showing amazing technique and perseverance.... . Cristian had the fight of his life and looked like a new athlete this year! . Micah also stepped up for his first tournament even after a nasty bout with the flu! He fought well, learned a lot, and had a smile the whole time. . Jake fought for the first time in a long time and, as he always does, left it all on the mat and never showing any quit! . We are so grateful to our brave students and their committed parents! We have to give a HUGE shoutout to our wrestling Coach @uno_radman. These kids all have grown so much as athletes under your guidance. See more

Triunfo had a BIG weekend. Saturday was our 2020 Belt Promotion and Celebration for both Jiu Jitsu + Muay Thai. In addition to that we had our annual seminar with Master @cleberbjjmma. . Thank you to each and every member of our team (as well as your family and loved ones) for the dedication and heart you all put into your personal goals on the mat AND the contribution you make to your training partners success. .
