Our athlete of the week is Andrew Qu! Andrew is 9 years old and has been fencing at TTFC since he was 6! He is a foil fencer who trains with Coach Tedd Padgitt. Congratulations to TTFC'S 2019-20 Absolute Fencing Gear All-Academic Team Members Karen Bei, Chloe Lavery, David Lee, and Krya Wu! The 2019-20 USA Fencing All-Academic Team is one of the largest in history, boasting 764 fencers who showed outstanding success in the classroom earning a 3.4 GPA or higher. Athletes who earned a 3.85 GPA qualified for the First Team with athletes earning from 3.4 3.84 claiming Second Team honors. Team members included 282 epee fencers, 238 foi...l fencers, 203 saber fencers and 41 multi-weapon fencers. Our Athlete of the Week is Kyra Wu! Kyra is a foil fencer who trains 6 days a week with Coach Raul. Kyra started fencing four years ago in Shanghai and started at TTFC three years ago. She regularly competes at the national level and has a C2019 rating!
