This was the birthday party I had been planning for years!! 50 is a huge deal! You’ve earned a party, with everyone!! A huge event...Richard Blade hosting and spinning all the best from the 80’s , rented roller rink, hot pink socks, and everyone who grew up with you, has every been there for you, laughed with you, cried with you, raised you up , or sat beside you when you were down! This was suppose to be an epic party!!! No one told me to plan for a global pandemic. Well, I’ve decided I’ll be turning 50 next October instead! So mark your calendar Richard and keep my deposit! Start looking for your invites coming September 2021!! I will celebrate 50 on wheels... next year

Good morning FB friends. Today’s homeschool help comes in the form of confess, redemption, and salvation. A bit of humor sprinkled with the Holy Spirit. Backstory: I have been a homeschool mom for the past 14 years. And in that time I have homeschooled five children. (Mind you I’m still not finished) Something happens when you decide to homeschool! If your like me, you begin to investigate every form of curriculum and style of Homeschooling available . You purchase ma...terials, books, manipulatives, toys, crafts, science kits, microscopes, shrink-e-dinks, beads, board games, more books, more books, musical instruments, workbooks, maps, globes, sewing machines, mommy how-to books and then, even still, more books!! The list is exhausting And of course you can’t get rid of anything because one of your children will eventually need it. CONFESSION: My hoarding of these items and materials is all consuming and has caused me much anxiety REDEMNTION: To purge myself and my home of years of collections that have over filled my home. SALVATION: comes in the form of peace. Which will be attained by a much needed purge and cleansing of my closets and garage . Putting aside some of the humor and being reminded that so many of my friends are in need of many of the lessons and materials that I stored, I began to give it all away. These things that I stored up in my house had at one time or another blessed me, helped me, encouraged me, reminded me that I could!! And now it was time to bless someone else. And so I did. There are other Seasoned homeschool moms out there that are just like me. They’re giving things away to help support friends , families, and strangers, that are struggling to understand and know this thing called Homeschooling. Good morning friends. Here’s a little creative homeschool help with a backstory. This book will offer an amazing way to introduce your children to some California history along the PCT trail, study the forest the desert the many different landscapes of California, And to experience God’s creation. For the wild and free homeschooler I say take them outdoors! Everything you need to educate your child can be offered in a day hike: Study the history of the trail you’ll be walkin...g, study Fibonacci and his numbers and his math in nature, study some of the greatest individuals who help to preserve these trails such as Catherine Montgomery, John Muir, and Ansel Adams just to name a few. Take a sketchbook and let your children draw pictures of the things that they’ve seen and then look them up in a nature study and learn the Latin words for flowers and trees and different species of birds and bugs. Go be free and wild in the classroom that God created. I will leave you with one final thought, a quote from this book,Despite photographs, journal entries, and the tread left behind, what endures most is a solid imprint the PCT leaves on our souls. Fortunately, that alone is enough to keep me at peace for years to come. I hope this will also be your experience as you embark on your own journey into the wild. See more
