Today we remember Deputy Oscar A. Beaver, of the Tulare County Sheriff's Office, whose line of duty death took place on this day in 1892. It is our Solemn Duty to keep alive, the memory of our fallen heroes, as a tribute to them and their families. We remember our brother with Honor, Dignity and Respect.

Once again our Nation has experienced tragedy to our LEO family. Another low life individual has shot several officers, this time in Baton Rouge Louisiana, killing 3. Ofcr. Montrell Jackson and Ofcr. Matthew Gerald of the Baton Rouge Police Department, and Dep. Brad Garafola of the East Baton Rouge Sheriff's Office were killed in the attack. Our prayers and thoughts are with their families, friends and agencies. Please stay vigilant, stay strong, watch each other's backs...and never give up! With Honor, Dignity and Respect, EOW 7/17/16

Very tragic and sad situation going on in Dallas, Texas right now. A peaceful protest turned very violent. At least two low life's took up sniper positions and opened up on the police. At least 11 police officers and one civilian have been shot. At least 4 of those officers have died. Several are in critical condition. The attack on our brothers and sisters, is an attack on us. Please pray for those officers that died, and their families, both blood and blue. Pray for our brave brothers and sisters that are still out there battling the evil. With Honor, Dignity and Respect!

Today, on Flag Day, June 14th, Sierra Post 785, of the American Legion, held a flag retirement ceremony in front of the Vietnam War Veterans Memorial Mural at the Visalia Convention Center. The ceremony was to respectfully retire American flags that are no longer able to serve as our National symbol. The flags were destroyed by fire, with Dignity, Respect and Honor, as per Flag Protocol. The Tulare County Sheriff's Honor Guard was represented at today's ceremony. It was an honor to be a part of this tradition. Thank you to Post Commander Bob Pineda, and Ceremony Commander Bob McNabb.

Last night officers and deputies from around Tulare County, Fresno and Morro Bay, attended the Exeter High School Senior Graduation. This was done for our extended family member, Valerie Vasquez. Valerie's father, Robert "Beto" Vasquez was a veteran police officer for the Farmersville Police Department. Officer Vasquez passed away from cancer in 2004, when Valerie was just 5 years old. Valerie grew up without her father, but had many LEO "uncle's" along the way. Her blood uncle, Roberts brother Ralphie, decided to surprise his niece by inviting us all to the graduation ceremony. It turned out to be a great surprise, and very emotional for Valerie, and all the big tough cops that were there. Not a dry eye in our group...yes including me. A great way for cops to Honor one of their own. Ed

We are posting this in tribute and Honor, with full Respect and Dignity, to a fellow Honor Guard member, from the California Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation. Officer Elizabeth Rendon Reynoso, 45 years old, lost her hard fought battle with cancer. "Sissy" was an Officer at the California Substance Abuse Treatment Facility and State Prison at Corcoran, California . Sissy was also a member of SATF's Honor Guard Team. From the Tulare County Sheriff's Office and Honor Guard Team, our thoughts and prayers go out to your CDCR family, and your blood family. Rest in Peace Sissy. EOW 4/29/16
