TC Power Equipment Repair

Locally owned small engine repair shop is seeking a front counter/entry level small engine mechanic to perform excellent customer service and basic tune-ups. Work Schedule: Currently this is a part time position 3 days per week from 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM with flexible schedule. The position may become full time as the spring busy season approaches.... Salary: Competitive, depending on experience Benefits: Paid holidays and sick leave, paid medical/vision/dental after probationary period. Primary Responsibilities: Load and unload equipment from customer vehicles. Check in/out equipment such as chainsaws, lawn mowers, trimmers, generators, and ATV/UTV’s. Counter sales, parts lookup, basic inventory. Maintain the overall appearance and cleanliness in the store and shop. Train to perform routine and preventative maintenance, such as oil changes, repairing or replacing parts, sharpening blades, etc. Other Responsibilities: Maintain a neat personal appearance and an orderly work space. Follow company policies and procedures. Accept personal responsibility for the quality and timeliness of work. Adhere to store safety/emergency procedures, wears required protective equipment and maintains safe work practices at all times. Utilize common sense and sound judgment; utilize problem solving skills to find solutions. Provide prompt, friendly customer service (take calls, answer questions, assist in choosing right equipment for their needs, etc.) Perform other job-related duties as assigned. Qualifications: Effective time management skills, attention to detail, desire for continual learning and growth. Ability to effectively and professionally communicate with manager, coworkers and customers. Ability to understand and follow written and verbal directions in English. Ability to establish and maintain cooperative working relationships with coworkers and management. Basic computer skills to look up parts and use cash register. Valid California Driver’s License High School Diploma or GED Must be able to pass a background check and drug test Bilingual English/Spanish is a plus but not required Working Conditions: Must be able to work in varying weather conditions (heat, cold, wind, rain) Must be able to work in an indoor and outdoor environment with dust, fumes, machinery, Moving equipment and moderate to loud noise levels. Must be willing and able to work Saturdays. Equal Opportunity Employer. We're moving right along!! Here's some pics of the progress. The showroom is a huge 10 ft by 27 feet with a 24 foot counter. The parts room is gigantic. The service bay has three stations and parts orders are already starting to arrive!!
