We don't know about you but our worry brains are in full gear! Let's break down and start taking steps for positive and empowered change. Did you know that worry actually does have utility? It’s a yellow flag to our system that says Uh oh! Something is wrong! Worry will grow when we don’t pay attention to that flag and begin to create an action plan. This next series of informational videos will unpack opportunities for changing worry, being in relationship with worry, and ...creating actionable steps to decrease and even stop our worry cycles. Join our CEO Dr. Kate in this video to explore how to understand the reason behind our worry (finding the WHY) so we can be empowered to start taking action. The goal of worry is to make us pay attention to something in order to make us take a step to change whatever the brain is noticing as a concerning piece of data.

We spent the morning with T Bone Burnett listening to his essay on white supremacy, race, and opportunity in America. Interwoven with his moving music - this is an incredible exploration on privilege, humanity, politics, and HUMANITY. It’s a free offering from Audible and we cannot recommend it enough. A 90 minute listen and a worthwhile exploration. ... #explore #expandyourmind #personalgrowthjourney #buildthefuture #personalgrowth #racisminamerica #racismisreal #whitesupremacy #bethechange #blacklivesmatter #bethechangeyouwanttosee #stopracism #tboneburnett #audible #audiblebooks #whiteprivilege #whiteprivilegeisreal #liveyourexcellence See more

This is our literal breath by breath truth right now. Imagine a line that divides your habits into two kinds: One set of habits leads to 10x growth, and the other leads to no growth at all. They’re both just as hard to establish. So which do you choose? What are some current habits you’re ready to transform or commit 0% self-discipline to? The truth is that all of us are already 100% self-disciplined to our existing set of habits.... According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention between 1999 and 2017 the age-adjusted suicide rate in the U.S. climbed 33 percent, from 10.5 to 14 deaths per 100,000 people. Rates of suicide in 2020 are estimated to double before the end of the year. The challenges of the COVID-19 present a whole new realm of risk factors for suicide. In fact, the requirements for safety during the pandemic render many of the protective factors against suicidal behavior difficult... if not impossible to obtain - factors such as connection with community, family, and social institutions, a sense of agency and an ability to make changes in ones life, as well as access to primary coping skills. If you are, or you a suspect a loved one is, struggling please ask the shame to step aside and lean into the courageous step to ask for help. These are unique and untenable times. Everyone is struggling. Know you are not alone. Reach out. We are here.
