We don’t really have a town sign but we do have the State Capitol! What a scenic location for a Fling! Highland dancers were socially distancing before it was cool (required) because that’s how you avoid getting kicked! It looks like we’re closer than we are, but it’s not possible to be very close and still do a Fling! We were staggered in three rows- again spacing is necessary so you can see us all. We wore masks up until filming and tucked them in the back of our kilts like pipers/drummers will tuck a Glengarry back there. (It helps to have a drummer in our midst!) Above all, it was really nice to get out into the world and dance for a live audience, even if it was just people who happened to be walking by. It reminded me that we should be part of our local community and not just the Highland dance community.
