Tapestry L.A. Church 30.10.2020

To commemorate our Story of the Kingdom sermon series, Tapestry created a collaborative visual artbook that reflected our church’s journey through this season. We invited our church members to reflect on what God has shown them during this time and use various creative mediums to share their inspiration. Our hope is that this artbook can showcase the many voices of our congregation and be an opportunity for creative worship.... Tapestry’s Kingdom artbook is now available on our website for viewing, and if you would like to purchase a physical copy, you can pre-order it online for $25 (printing cost).

Urgent Prayer Request: We just got word that Hurricane Eta has hit Guatemala pretty hard. Cobán, where our AMI missionary partners are, has also been heavily affected. There are power outages and many of the homes of the villagers have been damaged. Our partners are opening up the missions center to be a temporary shelter for villagers. Please pray for continued safety and health for our partners and the people of Guatemala, especially in light of Covid. Please pray for a full restoration of homes and for God's comfort to be present in this difficult time.

This past Sunday, Charles Choe spoke from Matthew 5:13-16 on what it means to be the salt of the earth and the light of the world as people of the Kingdom. As we vote today, let us remember that as Christians we are called to a third way.

Our Tapestry Non Partisan Voting Guide is now LIVE! It is a place for unbiased resources to inform voters and actionable steps for civic engagement. (tapestry.la/voting-guide) Understanding voting on national and local levels may at times be daunting; we are faced with a mountain of information and no clear direction on how to make our voices heard. Our goal is to make such content more accessible, transparent, and actionable so you can make informed decisions. We will be bui...lding on providing unbiased information across all levels of civic engagement - from our local cities, states, and national levels. To top it all off, on Monday, Oct. 19 via Zoom at 7PM, we want to help you engage in politics to help our church engage our city with a panel who will be discussing what’s generally on the ballot and how to approach voting as Christians. We aim to help equip our Tapestry members to be better informed about the issues regarding our city and nation as we seek to usher God’s Kingdom here on Earth.
