I'm guessing many of us have/are/will be hitting some moments, during this shut down, when we feel stagnant...trapped...detached...depressed...and that can feel... like a drain on our life force. Even with limited options for places to go/people to see/things to do, I think it's important that we kick ourselves out of feeling stagnant, and DO SOMETHING. Take a walk, take a jog, go for a bike ride or a drive, do some gardening, make some phone calls, arrange some video calls or online hangouts, start a new project at home, start or continue with an artistic endeavor, learn a language, try out new recipes...do something that gets you back in touch with motion...meaning...movement...creativity...passion...love...friendship...excitement...growth...joy! I have started relationships and enduring friendships with people I happened to meet whilst out busking. It has been an incredible way to engage with locals, especially in Ireland!!! I consider Ireland to be Busking Central And if you're wondering what "Da Green House" is, that's what I've been calling my home in Mission Viejo, since I moved here years ago, inspired by the bountiful nature on all sides of the house, along with green paint, green carpets...you get it. And since I got into gardening a few years ago, it's even more appropriate! Many of you know me as the front man of GOT THAT SWING!, my Mission Viejo based Swing band, and our local concerts/Swing dances, such as the Bee's Knees Speakeasy & Swing Dance. But before that, I played for years with my Folkrock band, Deep Stirrings, and so for these online concerts, I'm getting back to my acoustic guitar roots, and playing some originals, and favourite cover songs, mostly 60's to 90's So...this Friday evening, just after your lovely dinner-at-home, tune in for a live streaming concert!
