Say hello to Henry. This 1981 Cessna 182 is the most recent addition to the Tahoe Flying Club family. He’s got a room with a view.

Not sure why the airport is asking the community about ADS-B but here's a survey that every pilot that uses KTRK ought to fill out.

Reason #2 for joining the Tahoe Flying Club: Local flights are fun but long-distance trips are a better use for an airplane. I just returned from a two-day trip to Los Angeles with 3 other coworkers onboard. Great flight down there with rental car waiting for us on the ramp. Saw an amazing performance and met with clients during the day. We left in the late afternoon but got hungry on the way back and stopped for dinner in a random city. With a crew car in Fresno and a r...ecommendation from the line staff, we ended up at the best BBQ place in California that I’ve been to so far (Dog House Grill). Jumped back in the plane for a quiet dusk/night leg back to Reno to drop off coworkers and into TRK before the curfew. It was a fantastic trip with amazing sights along the way and low stress. This is what access to aviation should look like. This type of flying is not possible with the rental planes available in Truckee. We’re trying to change that but we need just a couple more members to round out the list of members to buy into our first plane (likely a C182). Let us know if you’re interested and we’ll tell you more.

Reason #1 to join the Tahoe Flying Club: You want to fly with other people instead of flying alone. Need to return a rental car in Sac, grab lunch in Quincy, overnight to SoCal or take an epic XC to Oshkosh? All of those things are better with a right seat as passionate as you about aviation. You’ll learn things to do and things not to do, expose and fill in knowledge gaps on complex topics, and benefit from a bit of subtle peer pressure to keep your skills sharp. Plus you can split costs and share the experience with someone you enjoy hanging out with. Even if you have a plane, joining the club will create lasting friendships and keep you motivated to reach your goals. We invite you all to join this growing community of local aviators.
