Here it is...the work on covering the cleavage on this beautiful wedding gown is completed. A beautiful wedding dress came to me to be customize....too much cleavage showing for the modest bride. I used my couture skills in working with lace starting with drawing the pattern to where more lace will be applied. Love using my magic disappearing purple pen....it helps showing the outlines of the lay out I create to the client/the bride....then I take photo of the idea before it disappears...and Voila I have a great start! Working with lace has always been fun! Sometimes very challenging though, but the creative process has always been a joy for me. Here I am working on covering the center front of a wedding dress to make it more modest by my client request. After looking for the right piece of lace color, texture and most importantly the pattern, my couture skills came in help. Next step after centering the perfect pattern is to pin the lace to the dress and contour the outlines to make sure... all little lace details are placed as desired. This process is followed by light hand stitching the lace to the dress so it doesn't look overly stitched that will effect the final appearance and carefully trim out the unnecessary lace. This is how it starts.
