Construction is complete. The trout pond is stocked. Now who's ready for this weekend? Join us this Friday for opening day, and all weekend long as we kick off the new year at Sycamore Island. We'll be open from 6:00am to 5:30pm. Season passes ($85) and contactless day passes ($9 per vehicle) are available online at www.riverparkway.org. Please remember to practice social distancing and wear a mask when required.

Sycamore Island will be staying open this Monday for Martin Luther King Jr. Day in addition to our normal weekend hours. Get outside and explore your local parks. You never know what natural wonders you'll find.

If your little ones enjoy being outdoors, solving clues, and searching for hidden items; then join us this Monday to compete in a scavenger hunt race where you will look for six different tokens hidden at Sycamore Island. Whether it's by car, bike, or hoof Sycamore Island is the place to go on Veterans Day. Come visit the park for one final day before we close for the winter.

The last day Sycamore Island will be open in 2020 is Wednesday, November 11th. The park will reopen February 5th, 2021. Come enjoy your day off on the river. We're open from 6:00am to 5:30pm.

The improvements at the Trout pond are coming along nicely. Here's a teaser for the new fishing pier. Come visit while you still can. The park is only open for 2 more weekends in 2020, and our last day of operation this year will be Wednesday, November 11th for Veterans Day. The park will reopen February 5th.

This Saturday, September 5th, is a CA Fish & Wildlife free fishing day, which means no fishing license is required. Grab your friends that have been wanting to learn to fish and hit the water. I am thrilled to finally announce the groundbreaking for the Sycamore Island Fishing Pond Enhancement Project taking place at the Trout Pond. Construction will start next week. This project is being carried out by the Department of Water Resources and will bring many improvements to the Trout Pond launch area including a large concrete boat ramp, a gangway/fishing pier, new vault restrooms, new vehicle and trailer parking, and they will all be ADA accessible. All of the new i...mprovements will be open at the start of the 2021 season. Unfortunately, the only window for this construction to take place was between September and November. After this current weekend, the Trout pond and the back pond will be inaccessible for the rest of the season due to the construction. The rest of the park will stay open as normal. We appreciate your patience while this amazing project is completed.
